Born in Baltimore, Tim now lives in New Freedom justover the Maryland/Pennsylvania border. He began taking pictures in 1973.

He studied photography with Charles Schwarz at Parkville High School. During that time he also experimented with various darkroom materials and processes, different types of photographic equipment, and infrared films, . After high school, he contemplated pursuing a career in photography but decided to go to a technical school for electronics instead.

In the eighties, he attended photography workshops and class at an art school. From those he produced a body of black & white work. The images, best described as street photography, were done using infrared film. The work was displayed in juried exhibits and small galleries in Baltimore and Washington DC.

In the 1990s, his photography took a back seat to family and time spent attending college to earn a degree in electronics.

In 2010 he reluctantly retired his film cameras, bought a Nikon D90 and learned to use Adobe Lightroom to edit his digital images. His passion for photography revived soon after.

Tim is a Manufacturing/Electrical Engineer for BD (Becton Dickinson) in Sparks, MD. He is married to Stacy Houston and has a son, Drew, and daughter, Ali.
